Daylight
The Daylight Centre provides care and activities for the over 55's. The centre was set up in 1983 as we recognised that the elderly needed a place to meet in the local community.
Daylight has changed over the years, we meet for lunch three times a week, we have afternoon games twice a week and indoor bowling once a week where we also provide afternoon tea. We have recently re-started a weekly supermarket run, we organise day trips out twice a year, trips to the theatre every year and more recently we have started to go to the cinema. We organise visits usually once a month with interesting talks that are relevant to our members. We have the use of a minibus with wheelchair facilities and tailgate lift to collect and drop off our members who could not get here otherwise. We work with service users displaying a variety of disabilities, helping them to lead full and active lives.
