HCC Employment, located at the HOPES Centre, offers an extensive Job Search service by experienced and qualified Employment Advice Workers.

We offer Employability Skills training on Mondays – Thursdays from 9.30 am – 12.30pm.
 
Employability Skills include:
  • Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) on a one-to-one basis.
  • CV preparation
  • Letters of Application
  • Online Application Forms
  • Interview Techniques
  • Mock Interviews
  • Internet access for online job search
  • An accredited nationally recognised qualification at Entry level to Level 2 in Employability Skills.
The use of a telephone, stationery, stamps, fax machine, photo-copier and computers are available free of charge for those people who undertake the Employability Skills courses.

We aim to support you with issues including: Work Related Information, Employment Support, Benefit Advice, Training Courses, Personal Support, Family Support, Integration and Social Support, Community Related Information.
 
Do you qualify for support?
 
* You must originate from a non EU country
* You must have lived in the UK for less than 10 years
* You must have 'Leave to Remain' in the UK
* Your status must permit you to work in the UK. Examples include: spouse / dependant, ancestry, highly skilled migrant, etc.
 
HCC Employment offers help and advice to unemployed people wishing to return to the labour market. 
  • Our  projects specifically helps 16-24 year olds who have no qualifications or experience in looking for a job.
  • We  help people who are 19+ who want to get a job.
  • We offer volunteering and training opportunities to help you up-skill and gain experience in a working environment.
We work closely with businesses who wish to recruit employees and also businesses facing redundancies.
 
A major project with SELCO trade building supplier saw 150 applicants who were interviewed at the HOPES centre, of which 47 were offered employment.
 
Recently, Torque (formerly Elite Logistics) a local firm, offered local people jobs in the Bradford 4 area.  HCC Employment were instrumental in helping people get these local jobs.
